This document provides an overview of the scopes, services and features that collectively defines the Synergy SKY CONNECT Service and the Synergy SKY CONNECT GO for Zoom Rooms Service.

Overview

Synergy SKY CONNECT (CONNECT) is a standards-based interoperability service that enables seamless collaboration between SIP-based video conferencing systems and popular cloud meeting platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, and Apple FaceTime

In addition, CONNECT provides a unified meeting workflow experience that allows users to join any meeting platform directly from existing video conferencing endpoints. CONNECT also provides SIP registrar and calling capabilities for non-Government deployment.

The service is built for organizations seeking uniform user experience across multiple meeting services while preserving their existing video investments. This provides a modernization of scheduling, in meeting control while ensuring compliance, security, and a seamless user experience across all collaboration ecosystems.

 

Core Capabilities for SIP devices

  • Universal Interoperability – Join any major video meeting platform from any SIP video endpoint.

  • Click-to-Join – One-touch join for scheduled meetings via Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace calendar integration.

  • Join-by-ID – Dial into any meeting by entering the native meeting ID.

  • Scan-to-Join – Scan a QR code to select meetings, control layouts, view chat and participants, and send reactions from your mobile device.

  • TrueView™ – Display authentic native layouts from Teams, Zoom, and Google Meet on SIP systems.

  • TrueView™ Engage – Control, react and engage from your mobile phone. Show Captions, Show Chat, Show Participants, Change Layout, Raise hand and emojis.

  • SIP registration – Any SIP device can register to CONNECT for SIP Registration and Calling capabilities, this also includes calls that are not utilizing the universal interoperability functionality (non-Government deployments).

Deployment Models

CONNECT can be deployed in three different models. Please note, Zoom Room deployments are not available for CONNECT for Government.

CONNECT GO for Zoom Rooms


Overview

Synergy SKY CONNECT GO for Zoom Rooms (GO for Zoom Rooms) is a standards-based interoperability service that enables seamless collaboration between Zoom Rooms and popular cloud meeting platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, and Apple FaceTime

The service is built for organizations seeking uniform user experience across multiple meeting services while building on their investment in the Zoom platform and Zoom meeting rooms.

Core Capabilities for Zoom Rooms

  • Universal Interoperability – Join any Microsoft Teams and Google Meet meeting from any Zoom room.

  • Scan-to-Join – Scan a QR code to select meetings, control layouts, view chat and participants, and send reactions from your mobile device.

  • TrueView™ – Display authentic native layouts from Teams and Google Meet.

  • TrueView™ Engage – Control, react and engage from your mobile phone. Show Captions, Show Chat, Show Participants, Change Layout, Raise hand and emojis.

Service Availability and Lifecycle


The CONNECT platform is built on a globally distributed cloud architecture, optimized for both a high level of scalability as well as redundancy and failover.

Services are deployed across multiple data regions to ensure optimal latency, automatic failover, and elastic scalability. All updates, integrations, and patches are rolled out centrally from Synergy SKY’s cloud.

Security and Compliance
