SIP Registrar and Calling

Introduction

The Synergy SKY SIP Registrar allows devices and users to register and call securely through the cloud-based service, ensuring seamless access to voice and video communication services. The features associated with the SIP registrar and calling service are included in the Synergy SKY CONNECT service and licensed per meeting room (SKU: SKYLICENSE-CONNECT). This gives the customer one license per meeting room that covers all the features and usage across the entire service.

Alias and Domain

Each customer tenant will be associated with a sub-domain of the main service domain for the service.
  • Alias: <roomname>@<customer>.call.vg

Calling

The service supports generic SIP calling capabilities to any DNS routable SIP address. Note that TLS based calling is mandatory.

On-boarding

The customer onboarding process will initially be handled by the Synergy SKY support team, and all changes such as adding/moving or deleting meeting rooms from the service, will also be handled by the Synergy SKY support team.

Self service portals are currently being developed for future releases of the service.
