This case study shares some of the mutual benefits of the partnership between World Wide Technology and Synergy SKY.


In the US, WWT is the number one reseller of the Cisco collaboration portfolio and number two globally. Founded in 1990, WWT has grown to become a global technology solution provider with more than $11 billion in annual revenue.

Brandon Echele, Practice Manager at WWT, was a guest speaker at our Global Partner Summit held in Oslo in 2019. He spoke passionately about the relationship WWT has with Synergy SKY and how this has led to more customer wins.


Working Together

The first step was to roll out the Synergy SKY solution internally to 400 video endpoints. This was done over a weekend and was according to Brandon – “relatively easy to install and even better; we received only positive feedback from our users”.

Cisco TMS was replaced by the Synergy SKY solution as the internal room scheduling solution at WWT, and Brandon was curious to get Cisco’s reaction to the integration of the new software. Cisco’s reaction was positive and they commented, “We love that stuff, it just works”.



In the second quarter of 2019  WWT won five deals with Synergy SKY, three of which were Fortune 500 companies with global roll-outs of the Synergy SKY solution.

During Brandon’s talk at our Global Partner Summit, he shared an important observation from the previous quarter. A construction company came into the demo facility to get an overview of the latest technology in data center products to refit existing solutions. One of the presenters at WWT was participating in the meeting via video, so the sales rep hit the green button and the call came up. 

The Chief Strategy Officer of the construction company said: “what was that – how did you do that? You need to do the same thing tomorrow as I will bring my CEO”. 

Synergy SKY  provided the perfect solution for the construction company because they communicate with multiple clients who use multiple video conferencing platforms. Synergy SKY provided them with one simple method to schedule and join video meetings with everybody, no matter what video conferencing platform their clients use.

The key learning from Brandon’s anecdote is that seeing is believing! Demonstrating the simplicity of scheduling and starting video meetings with Synergy SKY is a must for every customer.
