After a few years break from the collaboration industry, Halvorsen thinks the timing is perfect for a comeback...
Having been slightly out of the Norwegian video valley for a few years, he admits that collaboration and videoconferencing are what is nearest and dearest to him.
“Having followed Synergy SKY from a distance, I’m flattered to get the opportunity to work with this team” says Halvorsen, who is going back to his roots and takes on the role of R&D lead.
“We are excited to have him aboard the team,” says CEO Ståle Reitan, who has known Halvorsen since he started in TANDBERG.
Halvorsen will lead an international team that develops products for video conferencing management and control. Today there are four different products, but there is more to come.
After having spent the last 8 years in Singapore, Halvorsen has repatriated to Norway with his two kids and wife. Halvorsen graduated with an MSc from NTNU before he joined NOKIA and then TANDBERG where he held several roles in R&D and sales support.
In the last 4 years, he held the role of Director Solutions Engineering in TATA communications.
