We asked Yohan Beghein, IT manager at Skullcandy, five questions as to why he chose Synergy SKY? 


 1. What challenges did you face before Synergy SKY Meeting Server?

We had few challenges before SMS:

Users frustration because they could not join or mistyped the meeting-ID and they were joining meeting late because of these problems

Secondly, for every meeting zoom, webex, etc, they had to find their emails or write down on a piece of paper, the meeting Id.

Now, they are just walking to the room, press the one button that represents their meeting on the touchpad, and done. It's much better experience and less calls for our helpdesk team.

2.How was the installation process?

The installation was super easy, it only took few minutes and on top of this the resource required by the service is really minimum.

We were up and running in no time.


3.: Has running SMS been reliable, and what maintenance have you done over the last 6 months?

The service has been really reliable, and the only maintenance that we have done has been the usual server patching and applied the latest Synergy Sky updates.


4.Do your users find it helpful to answer external meeting invitations from WebEx, Zoom etc with one-click on your Cisco video systems?

We started using Skype for Business first, and after the great user adoption we received, we decided to extend it to the rest of our meetings like zoom, webex etc
Now it's the same experience as a "One Button to press" for any meetings they join   


5.Has the SMS product changed the landscape for your users? Can they go back and function without it?

What I really like is when we rolled out, it was really seamless for the users and required no training. I can't imagine going back to the old way now
