Synergy SKY will preview the new generation of its platform at InfoComm, Las Vegas.

Version 4.0 includes enhanced support for Microsoft Lync and a new meeting booking solution, which works in conjunction with MeetingIQ to efficiently utilize MCU resources across multiple vendors.

“The rate of change in the video communications industry has picked up tremendously over the past two years and at last, businesses are lining up to take the plunge into truly unified communications. But technology silos and a plethora of standards still constitute major issues for many organizations,” said Ståle Reitan, CEO of Synergy SKY. “Hence the need to create a multi-vendor integrating solution to overcome these complexities.”

Synergy SKY 4.0 adds three main functions to the previous version:

  • Synergy SKY Microsoft Lync Support: Provisioning of Lync accounts, harvesting of Lync CDR data, and Lync server monitoring

  • Synergy SKY Booking Solution: An intelligent, flexible, and self-learning booking system designed to book people and not devices, while letting the people define how to join the meeting... The solution tightly integrates with both the on-premises and cloud flavors of Microsoft Exchange

  • MeetingIQ: Combines MCU resources across multiple vendors and models into one pool of resources

“As organizations deploy collaboration solutions above and beyond IM and presence to their knowledge workers, they rapidly run into the thorny issues of multi-vendor interoperability and administration, particularly with video. Synergy SKY has developed a management and provisioning system that can work with traditional video conferencing systems as well as newer UC solutions, like Microsoft Lync, to reduce the inherent complexity often found in multi-vendor UC environments,” said Dr. Brent Kelly, Principal Analyst at KelCor, a UC consulting and analyst firm.

The new features and more will be demonstrated at InfoComm 2014 in Las Vegas (Booth N2428), June 18th-20th. General availability of Synergy SKY v4.0 is planned for Summer 2014.
